History of Arai
Arai was founded by Hirotake Arai, a hat maker and a motorcycle enthusiast. Japan was a closed market in the 1950s, and there were no helmet manufacturers in the country. When young Mr Arai wanted a helmet for his protection when riding his motorcycle, he didn’t have access to high-quality protective gear. That experience paved the way for the creation of the world-class Arai Helmets.Â
